Following are the 2011 age and weight requirements for Hyde Park Pop Warner:

*The participant’s age on July 31st of the current year shall be the participant’s age for the coming season

2011 Weigh-Ins for Tackle Football Participants

Each tackle football player will be weighed at check-in sessions and again at the beginning of the season to determine and confirm division assignment.

Players must maintain the weight requirements throughout the season for their division. Players will be weighed prior to each game. The first week of the regular season players must weigh within the above weight range. Each subsequent week, the allowed weight will be increased by one pound.

This is the weekly maximum allowable weight with equipment allowances less the helmet

NOTE:
*Weigh-in prior to each game will be done by determining actual weight plus equipment allowance per given week (Minus helmet). Refer to the chart above

2011 Practices

The first day of practice will be Monday, August 2nd .

Practices tentatively will begin at 5:30 PM and end at 7:30 PM

Important: We recommend that you check the Hyde Park Pop Warner Website, on a daily basis to see if practice is canceled or moved to another site. It may be raining at your house but not on the practice field, or vice versa. Sometimes the weather is clear but the fields are too wet to use. We do everything possible to hold practice, which may mean moving practice to an alternate facility when the practice fields are too wet. We post all practice cancellations and location changes on the front page of the Hyde Park Pop Warner website, as well as through our RainedOut.com service (Which we recommend you try out for text alerts of cancelation information). Sometimes decisions have to be made at the last minute, and we appreciate your flexibility when that’s the case. Remember to check the website if it has rained in the past 24-48 hours in case field conditions warrant a change in location or a cancellation.

2010 Football Games

The first game for the Hyde Park Pop Warner squads is September 6, 2010. Below are the tentative scheduled times for each squad:

E-Team 9:00 am
A-Team- 10:30 am
B-Team 12:00 pm
C-Team- 1:30 pm
D-Team- 3:00 pm

E-Team sets up the field and D-Team breaks it down.
